The Gene Duffy Foundation was founded in 2013 to carry on the legacy of Gene Duffy, whose pioneering spirit provided hope and dignity to many thousands who struggled with addiction. More than fifty years later Gene’s vision lives on through the work that he began.
The original purpose of the Gene Duffy Foundation was to promote education and research around drug and alcohol addiction, and to provide treatment assistance for those suffering. While this is still a part of the foundation focus today, the vision and purpose has expanded to include initiatives that support a lifetime of wellness, from childhood through the legacy years.
Today, the Gene Duffy Foundation is the My New Legacy Foundation, promoting three broad categories of initiatives: The Rewriting Futures Initiative, the Legacy Tools Initiative, and the Gene Duffy Initiative.
